Australian Problems, Mate!
Feel free to submit your Australian Problems using the ask box.
Check our our (mainly Canuck!) friends: http://australianproblems.tumblr.com/post/13580657914/we-love-our-mates-oi-oi-oi
If you're about to submit anything racist or homophobic, don't waste your time. I will ignore your ass because I will never be publishing anything racist or homophobic to this blog. In fact, I consider Racists and Homophobes an Australian problem.
Anonymous asks:
can you tell us a bit about yourself plzzzzz? you seem really cool!We get this a lot, so why not!
We are two girls in our early 20s (although sadly, that is getting closer to mid-twenties if we are being honest) and we live in Brisbane, Queensland, and are both students who work on the side.
D: I was born in Vancouver, Canada to an Australian Father and Canadian mother. My Dad went to Whistler for a working holiday and met a woman from Montreal who was on holidays there with her family, and the rest is history. I spent the first 14 years of my life in Montreal before my family moved to Australia to escape the cold. My biggest Australian problems are having cricket on my TV instead of Ice Hockey and missing poutine and snow. The things I love most about Australia are Tim Tams, Milo, not needing 15 layers to go outside in Winter and the Brisbane Broncos.
K: I’m a Queenslander, born and raised, and while I haven’t been to Canada (yet!), I have travelled right through Europe on an amazing trip and experienced many Australian problems like being asked to say ‘A Dingo Ate my Baby’ at least once a night in a bar. My biggest Australian Problems are hating how much shipping costs when I want to order stuff online and Sunrise (my mother watches it every morning) and the things I love most about Australia are Tim Tams, Caramello Koalas and how friendly everyone is. You really notice it when you travel abroad.
Also sort of here? V & C: The little sister and sister-in-law of D & K respectively. We sometimes run problems via them to see what they think of them.
